8 men accused of soliciting sex from undercover detective at Jacksonville park, JSO says

Eight men were arrested after approaching an undercover detective and soliciting a sexual act at a Southside park, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.Vice Unit detectives set up the operation Thursday, Oct. 1, at Beach and Peach Urban Park in the Southside Estates area after receiving complaints about illegal sexual activity. Some of the men also exposed themselves while speaking with the detective, the sheriff’s office said.All eight were arrested on suspicion of offering to commit lewdness. Three also face drug-related charges, and one was additionally arrested on suspicion of exposing sexual organs in public.The sheriff’s office said the activity made the park unsafe for children and families and that it would work to protect the city’s parks.
