Who is Ashoke Sen? Indian physicist honoured with 2026 Oskar Klein Medal for pioneering work on string theory

Indian physicist Ashoke Sen has become the first Indian to receive the 2026 Oskar Klein Medal for his pioneering contributions to string theory, gravity and black-hole physics. Professor at ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru, Sen delivered the Oskar Klein Memorial Lecture in Stockholm.
