More than 4.3 million toothpaste tubes recalled, including children’s brands — Fleming Island Health news

More than 4.3 million tubes of fluoride toothpaste, including several products marketed to children, are under a nationwide voluntary recall because of manufacturing problems, the Food and Drug Administration said. The recall includes toothpaste sold under the Brush Buddies, Crayola, Hot Wheels and My Little Pony brands, as well as evo, ARU and BB. Products come in flavors including bubble gum, strawberry, watermelon, peppermint, sweet mint and cool mint.Pritam International Private Limited, an India-based manufacturer, initiated the recall Sept. 10. The FDA classified it as Class II on Oct. 19, a category for products that could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects. The FDA notice reported no illnesses or injuries linked to the toothpaste. The affected products were distributed by Ashtel Studios Inc. of Ontario, California. They come in 3.5-ounce and 4-ounce tubes and in two-packs of 3.5-ounce tubes. Expiration dates range from November 2026 through June 2028.Consumers
